VPLS's initial expansion into Southeast Asia started in Bangkok, Thailand not only because we have local support staff and offices but we believe the future of technology in and around Southeast Asia will revolve around Thailand as the hub. VPLS selected Thailand's premier data center and solutions provider CS Loxinfo due to their high quality facility in the heart of Bangkok located in the Cyberworld Towers. Our Bangkok data center has diverse connectivity to major Internet junctions in Thailand and is well connected to provide high speed, low latency domestic connectivity.

Utility/Back-Up Power & Generator
A unique and intriguing aspect of the Bangkok data center is that all data center space is cut up into smaller suites allowing for redundancy and isolation in the event of an issue with a single suite. All power distribution units are fed by redundant battery powered UPS systems which connect to diesel generators and utility power that is fed on diverse paths dedicated to CS Loxinfo that is not shared with the rest of the building.
Security & Protection Features
As with all of our facilities, security and protection is of the upmost importance to VPLS. Biometric scanners and 24x7 security and support staff monitor the facility and building. All equipment that enters and leaves the facility must be tagged with a serial barcode and checked in and out.
New Burst, Hybrid, and Dedicated Clouds
At Krypt we know that Clouds don't come in just Private or Public, big or small. We believe the Cloud and especially your Cloud Server should be tailored to how you want it at your specific budget. Our Cloud Servers come in 3 distinct types called
- Burst - these Cloud Servers have pooled burst resources and are great low cost entry level servers
- Hybrid - these Cloud Servers have combined Burst and Dedicated resources that allow the flexibility of bursting at a fraction of the cost for dedicated resources
- Dedicated - the Cloud Servers have reserved and guaranteed resources so that you can run applications with confidence
Of course if you can not find a plan that meets your needs you can always create your own Custom Cloud only at Krypt! Choose any combination of CPU, Memory, Disk and Bandwidth options for your Cloud Server with a mixture of dedicated and burst resources. If you ultimately don't like to share, go with Krypt Private Cloud for your enterprise requirements.

Sacramento Internet Datacenter (SMF1 IDC) Grand Opening
It's been a long month for the Krypt Engineering team as we have spent hours building and preparing our new Sacramento flag ship Internet Datacenter (IDC) for service. With well over 1000 servers ready to go we're still in the process of adding additional network capacity between Sacramento (SMF1) and our San Jose (SJC1) and Los Angeles (LAX1) POP's. This will ensure diverse and redundant paths for network connectivity out of SMF1. SJC1 has also added direct carrier access with our existing providers China Unicom, China Telecom, TINET and TeliaSonera.
With the commission of our new datacenter with over 22,000 sq ft of raised floor and 4MW of critical load power we are also pleased to announce the addition of Internap to the VPLS Network blend. Connectivity through Internap will ensure the best routing possible through Internap's patented Managed Internet Route Optimizer (MIRO) technology which evaluates critical performance factors to select the best possible route to any given destination among the many possible paths.
Krypt Expands East
VPLS and it's hosting brands Krypt.com and HiDefServers.com are proud to announce the grand opening of our first East Coast data center located in Ashburn, Virginia. The new Internet Data Center (IDC) dubbed "IAD1" will be home to select server packages for now as well as our Krypt Cloud Servers offering bi-coastal redundancy or geographical coverage for our customers around the world. Krypt and HiDefServers expect to support orders from these data centers by November 4th, 2011!
VPLS' IAD1 IDC housed at DuPont Fabros ACC5 data center boasts some impressive statistics such as the following:
- 36.4MW Critical Load
- 360,000 sq ft on 17.15 acres of land
- 350 watts per sq ft specifications
- 32 Rotary UPS power systems with 1,300 kW of critical output each, N+2 redundancy for each phase
- 32 diesel-powered engine generators with 2,250 kW capacity each, N+2 redundancy for each phase
- Four 50,000 gallon underground diesel storage tanks for 55 hours of run time
- Dual Input 300 kVA PDUs - 600 volt primary
- Conventional smoke detector and laser based incipient smoke detection systems and double interlockedpre-action sprinkler system
- Carrier Neutral facility
- LEED Standard Tier III+ facility
- SAS 70 Type II certification

Back by popular demand are our Cloud Bundles based on our VMWare powered Cloud. Choose between Windows or Linux packages or Build Your Own Cloud! We also have regular and burstable packages. What is burst?
Burst resources allow you to purchase CPU and Memory resources at the fraction of the cost of dedicated CPU and memory but allow you to use up to the sum of the dedicated + burst resource. All servers are allocated based off the total resources and never over-subscribed.
Example:
CPU: 500MHz Dedicated + 500MHz Burst = 1000MHz
Memory: 512MB Dedicated + 512MB Burst = 1024MB

12 Year Anniversary
